August 30, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Children face many stressors, including bullying and peer pressure to vape or consume other substances. Discover how to help children or youth experiencing challenges or addictions by learning typical adolescent development. A five-step action plan on helping youth in both crisis and noncrisis situations covers anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD) and eating disorders. This includes a 2-hour online course to be completed by August 25 and an instructor-led portion to be hosted on Zoom August 30.
